Your two options are:
Heading north, we’ll be covering 6 nautical miles until we reach the splendid low and rocky coast at Torre Castiglione. Here we will stop in the beautiful bay behind the ruins of the sixteenth-century Tower of Castiglione, where you can swim and snorkel. We will also show you a little bay where the cold water of the springs mixes with the warmer water of the sea and the temperature drops 5-6 degrees. Going back on board, you can relax in the sun, tasting a cold prosecco offered by the staff.
Heading south again, we will stop near Torre Lapillo where we can snorkel at the site of Madonna dei Naviganti (about 3,5 meters deep). This statue of the Virgin was placed in the sea in 2012, in memory of the victims of the Costa Concordia cruise ship and for all the victims at sea.
We will continue our tour sailing south to Torre della Chianca at the archaeological site of the Greek-Roman Columns, also submerged at a depth of about 3,5 meters. You can dive and snorkle to admire these splendid archaeological finds, dating back to 200 BC., but they are also perfectly visible while on board the boat. We will then reach the island of Malvq, a protected area. Here, the staff will offer you a typical Apulian ‘frisa’ with freshly prepared tomato, accompanied by good local wine. Water, orange juice or coca cola is available for the duration of the excursion.
This tour will take you south, covering about 6 nautical miles to reach the splendid high and rocky coasts of Porto Selvaggio. Here we will stop in the beautiful bay that lies below the sixteenth-century Uluzzo Tower, where you can swim and snorkel inside the Grotta del Cavallo and Grotta di Uluzzo which characterize this wonderful stretch of coast. You can of course also decide to stay on board tasting a cold prosecco offered by the staff. Heading back north about 4 nautical miles, you will stop at the cove near the tower of Sant’Isidoro, part of the Marine Protected Area of Porto Cesareo established in 1997. Here you can immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of this bay where the sea is always calm as it is sheltered by the islet of Sant’Isidoro, easily reachable by swimming. The staff will offer you a typical Apulian ‘frisa’ with freshly prepared tomato, accompanied by good local wine. Water, orange juice or coca cola is available for the duration of the excursion.
